Day 1: Arrival in Tangier – Chefchaouen
Upon your arrival in Tangier, our team will welcome you and begin the journey to Chefchaouen, a picturesque town nestled in the Rif Mountains. Designated a biosphere reserve, this town of blue and white houses invites you to wander leisurely through its streets.
The afternoon is free to explore the medina, soak up its peaceful atmosphere, and let yourself be enchanted by the color that gives the Blue Pearl its name. Accommodation in a riad or local hotel.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, we leave Chefchaouen and head south. First stop: Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved Roman archaeological site. Stone streets, arches, and ancient mosaics bear witness to a prosperous city during the Empire.
The route continues to Meknes, the former capital during the reign of Moulay Ismail. We visit Bab El Mansour, the city walls, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, one of the few sacred sites open to those of other faiths. In the afternoon, we arrive in Fez for the night.

Day 3: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga
Early departure from Fez. The road climbs toward the Middle Atlas Mountains, where Ifrane surprises visitors with its flower-lined avenues and Alpine-style rooftops. Further on, the cedars of Azrou are home to colonies of macaques peeking out from among the branches.
The landscape opens up after Midelt, and the Ziz Valley appears with its endless palm groves. We pass through Erfoud to reach Merzouga at sunset. A camel ride takes us into the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where the Berber camp awaits with dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional tent.

Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we ride back to Merzouga by camel to continue our journey. Our first stop is Rissani, the birthplace of the Alawite dynasty, with its traditional souk and old-world charm.
We continue through Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops, before entering the Todra Gorges. 300-meter-high walls flank the canyon, inviting you to walk in their shade. In the afternoon, arrival in the Dades Valley to spend the night.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Skoura Oasis – Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – Marrakech
The morning greets us with the rock formations of the Dades. We set off along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, crossing the Valley of Roses and the Skoura oasis, where palm trees and clay blend into the landscape.
We arrive in Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert, before turning off toward Aït Ben Haddou. This ancient ksar, a World Heritage Site, preserves the essence of earthen architecture. After the visit, we ascend the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. The views accompany us on the descent to Marrakech, where our accommodation awaits.

Day 6: Marrakech – Guided Tour of the Medina

Why do the Chefchaouen and Fez packages only include breakfast?
To give you the freedom to choose where to have dinner. Both Chefchaouen and Fez offer a wide range of dining options, from traditional restaurants with spectacular terraces to local food stalls. We’d like you to enjoy the city at night on your own terms as well.
Should we visit Volubilis and Meknes on the same day?
Yes, on the second day we combined both visits. First, the Roman ruins of Volubilis (with time to see the original mosaics), then Meknes with a guided tour of Bab Mansour and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Enough to see the highlights without rushing.
What is a night like at the desert camp?
Arrive by camel at sunset. Enjoy a Moroccan dinner and Berber music around the campfire, then spend the night in a comfortable tent equipped with mattresses and blankets. The camp has restrooms and hot showers. In the morning, the sunrise over the dunes is spectacular.
Can we see monkeys in the cedar forest?
Yes, on the 3rd we passed through the cedar forest of Azrou, where it’s very common to see Barbary macaques. You can get out of the vehicle to take pictures of them (but be careful—they’re mischievous).
What happens to our luggage during the camel ride?
On the 3rd, when you arrive in Merzouga, you’ll leave your large luggage in the vehicle. You’ll only carry a small backpack with the essentials for the night at the camp. The vehicle will be waiting for you the next day.
Are guided tours in Fez and Marrakech included?
Yes, both are included with official English-speaking local guides:</ p>

What is the “Special Berber Festival” in the desert?
It’s an evening of traditional Berber music around the bonfire after dinner. Our hosts play drums and sing songs of the desert, creating a magical and authentic atmosphere under the stars.
