Tour Itinerary: 7 Days from Casablanca
Day 1: Casablanca – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen
Upon your arrival at the airport or your hotel in Casablanca, our driver will pick you up to begin the journey towards Chefchaouen. Before departing, we will visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most impressive in the world, followed by a short stroll along the Corniche, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
We continue north, crossing the picturesque Rif Mountains and passing through the town of Ouazzane, before arriving in the blue city of Chefchaouen in the afternoon. Overnight stay in a riad or hotel.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Fez
After breakfast, you will enjoy free time in Chefchaouen to explore its charming blue streets on your own. Later, we will visit Uta el-Hammam Square and the Old Medina, the heart of the city and the perfect place to soak up its relaxed atmosphere.
We then depart for Volubilis, home to the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco, declared a World Heritage Site. We will explore the ancient mosaics, arches, and remnants of the Roman Empire amidst a landscape of rolling hills.
Following the visit, we continue towards Fes, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco, crossing scenic landscapes and forested areas. Overnight stay in a traditional riad or hotel.

Day 3: Fez
After breakfast, you will be accompanied by a professional local guide to explore Fes, one of Morocco’s most historic Imperial Cities and a designated World Heritage Site.
We will discover the most outstanding highlights of the Fes Medina, including its ancient alleys, traditional markets, and remarkable monuments. We will visit the famous Chouara Tannery, where leather has been processed using traditional methods for centuries, and learn about the daily life of local artisans.
Throughout the tour, your guide will share the rich history, culture, and traditions of Fes, making this an immersive experience. After lunch, you will return to your accommodation.

Day 4: Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, we depart from Fes towards the Moroccan Sahara Desert, enjoying a full day of ever-changing landscapes. We cross through Ifrane, known as the cleanest city in Morocco, with a stop at the famous Lion Statue, and continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques.
The journey proceeds south via Midelt and Erfoud, passing through picturesque valleys and oases, including the lush Awfouss Oasis, one of the largest palm groves in North Africa.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, we begin an unforgettable camel ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will enjoy a magical sunset over the Sahara, followed by a unique night in a traditional camp, sleeping in nomad tents under a starry sky.

The route passes through Tinjdad and Tinghir, with a stop at the spectacular Todra Gorge, the most impressive canyon in Morocco. We will walk between its towering rock walls and enjoy lunch in this dreamlike setting.

Shall we visit the cedar forest and see the monkeys?
Yes, on Day 4 we pass through the Azrou cedar forest, where it is very common to see wild Barbary macaques. You can get off to take pictures of them (be careful, they are mischievous and may come close). A stop that all travelers love.
How do I handle my luggage during the camel ride?
On Day 4, upon arriving in Merzouga, you will leave your large suitcase in the vehicle. You will only bring a small backpack with what is necessary for the night at the camp. The vehicle awaits you the next day with all your luggage intact.
Will we make it in time to catch a flight on the 7th in Casablanca?
On Day 7, you leave Marrakech in the morning for Casablanca (approx. 2h 30min on the highway). We recommend:

If your flight is very early, we can suggest spending the last night in Casablanca.

Is it worth visiting the Hassan II Mosque on the first day?
