Frequently Asked Questions

What is day 4 like? Is the return trip very long?
Day 4 is a scenic drive back to Marrakech through the Draa Valley. Although it’s a full day on the road, the stops in Rissani, the valley, and its kasbahs make for a very enjoyable trip with spectacular scenery.
What's the difference between this and the 4 or 5 day tours?
This tour includes a full-day return trip through the Draa Valley (a different, longer route) as well as a full-day guided tour of Marrakech at the end. More culture, more scenery, and more city life.
Is the guided tour of Marrakech included?
Yes. On the 5th, you’ll take a guided tour with a local guide to see Marrakech’s main monuments, souks, and squares. You’ll learn about the city’s history and secrets from an expert.
What is a night like in the desert camp?
Arrive by camel at sunset. Enjoy a Moroccan dinner and Berber music around the campfire, followed by a night in a private tent. The camp features restrooms and hot showers. An authentic and comfortable experience.
Do I need experience for the camel ride?
No. The camels are docile, and the ride is smooth. Our guide will help you get on and accompany the group. You’ll enjoy the sunset over the dunes without any trouble.
Can I leave my large luggage in Marrakech?
Yes. You can leave your suitcase at the riad in Marrakech (where you’ll stay the first night) and just bring a small backpack for the days on the road and in the desert. You’ll travel much more comfortably.
Will we make it in time for the flight on the last day
Yes, because on the last day, it’s just a transfer to the airport from your accommodation in Marrakech. There’s no long trip. You can catch a flight at any time, though we recommend not leaving too early so you can say goodbye at your own pace.
