Day 1: Fez – Chefchaoue
We depart from Fez in the morning and head north. The road winds through ever-changing landscapes of rolling hills that, as we approach the Rif Mountains, become greener and more rugged.
At midday, arrive in Chefchaouen, the Blue City, nestled in the foothills of the mountains. After checking in at your riad or hotel, the afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace. Lose yourself in the blue-painted streets, discover small art galleries and local craft workshops, and climb up to the viewpoints offering panoramic views of the city and the surrounding mountains. Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, we leave Chefchaouen and head toward central Morocco. Our first stop is Volubilis, one of the best-preserved Roman archaeological sites in North Africa. Here, you’ll have time to explore its mosaics, arches, and ruins, which tell the story of centuries of history.
The tour continues to Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. You’ll visit its most iconic sites and soak up the atmosphere of this city, which served as the capital during the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismail.
In the afternoon, we’ll head back to Fez, with an estimated arrival in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of this 2-day getaway to Chefchaouen.
