Day 2: Exploring the City of Marrakech
After breakfast, start your day with a guided tour of Marrakech’s main attractions, accompanied by a certified local guide. Day 3: Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we leave Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through traditional Berber villages and enjoying breathtaking scenery. We crossed the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters), Morocco’s highest mountain pass, before continuing on to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Ben Haddou, famous for its unique architecture and cinematic history.
After a well-deserved lunch break, we continue our journey to Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film capital, driving through the palm groves of Skoura and the Valley of Roses in Kelaat M’gouna. Late in the afternoon, we arrive at the spectacular Dades Gorges, known for their dramatic red cliffs and winding roads, where we will spend the night surrounded by natural beauty in a riad.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga – Camel Ride and Camp
After breakfast, we leave the Dades Valley and head to the stunning Todra Gorges, where you’ll have free time to admire the panoramic views of the Berber villages and walk beneath the imposing 300-meter-high cliffs. We continue our journey to Merzouga, stopping for lunch in Tinjdad, then passing through Erfoud and Rissani, enjoying the ever-changing landscapes of the desert oases.
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with mint tea before setting off on a camel ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, guided by an experienced camel driver. We’ll arrive at the desert camp just in time to relax and watch a spectacular sunset over the dunes.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at the camp and spend the night in a comfortable nomadic tent or under the stars, with the option of listening to traditional Berber music around the campfire.

Continuing through the Middle Atlas Mountains, the trip includes a stop in Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its Alpine-style architecture.

Day 6: Guided Tour of Fez

Day 7: Fez – Chefchaouen

Day 8: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca
After breakfast at the hotel, we left Chefchaouen and traveled to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. We visited the historic Hassan Tower, which dates back to the 12th century, followed by the Kasbah of the Oudayas, an Andalusian-style fortress offering beautiful views of the Bou Regreg River and the Atlantic Ocean.
After lunch, we continued on to Casablanca, the country’s main commercial hub. We visited the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world, dramatically situated overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and then explored Mohammed V Square, home to some of the city’s most important government buildings.
In the evening, transfer to your riad or hotel for the night.

Does this tour end in Casablanca or Marrakech?
The tour ends in Marrakech on the 10th after visiting Essaouira. On the 8th, you’ll stop in Casablanca (to visit the Hassan II Mosque) and spend the night there, but the tour ends where it began: Marrakech.
Can we end the tour in Casablanca?
Yes, that’s possible. If you’d prefer to end your trip in Casablanca on the 8th or 9th, we can adjust the itinerary and arrange your transfer to Casablanca Airport (CMN). Please contact us to customize your trip.
Is the pace of the tour too intense for 10 days?
The tour is designed to have a balanced pace. It includes travel days with stops along the way, as well as full days in cities like Marrakech, Fez, and Essaouira to explore at your own leisure. There’s plenty of time to enjoy yourself without rushing.
What's the night like at the desert camp?
A magical experience. Arrive by camel at sunset, enjoy a Moroccan dinner and Berber music around the campfire, and spend the night in a comfortable tent. The camp has restrooms and hot showers. In the morning, the sunrise over the dunes is unforgettable.
Is the detour to Essaouira at the end of the trip worthwhile?
Absolutely. Essaouira is the perfect change of pace after so many days in the interior and the desert. Its coastal medina, fishing port, city walls, and laid-back atmosphere will help you unwind before heading back to Marrakech.
How do I manage my luggage on such a long tour?
Bring a medium-sized suitcase or a comfortable backpack for the entire trip. For the night in the desert, you can leave your large suitcase in the vehicle and bring a small backpack with the essentials. There’s no need to leave anything behind in Marrakech.
Shall we visit the cedar forest and see the monkeys?
Yes. On the 5th, on our way to Fez, we’ll drive through the cedar forests near Azrou, where you’ll be able to see and photograph Barbary macaques in the wild. We’ll also stop in Ifrane.
How long did we spend in Chefchaouen?
We arrived in Chefchaouen on the afternoon of the 7th and spent the night there. You’ll have time to explore the blue streets at sunset and again the following morning (the 8th) before heading to Rabat.
