Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

Upon your arrival in Casablanca, our team will welcome you to begin the journey to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Depending on your arrival time, we will explore the city’s main highlights, including the historic Hassan Tower and the charming Kasbah of the Udayas, with views over the Atlantic Ocean. Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Fez

We depart from Rabat towards Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. We will visit the impressive Bab Mansour, one of the most beautiful monumental gates in the country, and admire the historic atmosphere shaped by the legacy of Sultan Moulay Ismail.

We continue to Fez, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. On arrival, we will experience the unique atmosphere of its medina, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where narrow streets are filled with traditional souks, historic mosques and centuries-old madrasas. Day 3: Fez – Guided City Tour

We begin the day with a visit to the impressive Royal Palace Gate, a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship and an important symbol of the city’s royal heritage. We continue to the peaceful Jnan Sbil Gardens, a green oasis offering a relaxing break in the heart of Fez.

The highlight of the day is the exploration of the Fez medina, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world. We will discover historic sites such as the Bou Inania Madrasa, famous for its intricate tilework and carved wood. Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

We leave Fez to travel south through the Middle Atlas mountains. We pass through Ifrane, often called the “Little Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and clean surroundings. We continue to Azrou, a Berber town near the cedar forests, home to the famous Barbary macaques, where we will stop to enjoy the natural scenery.

The journey continues through mountain landscapes to Midelt, known for its apple orchards and panoramic views. As we head further south, the scenery gradually changes, revealing the first signs of the Sahara desert as we arrive in Erfoud, the gateway to the desert region.

We arrive in Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise dramatically from the desert floor. As the afternoon fades, we will enjoy a memorable camel ride through the dunes to witness a spectacular sunset. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional camp under the stars.

How do I handle my luggage during the camel ride?

On day 4, upon arriving in Merzouga, you will leave your large suitcase in the vehicle. You will only take a small backpack with the essentials for the night at the camp (warm clothing, camera, toiletries). The vehicle will be waiting for you the following day with all your luggage intact.

Will we make it in time to catch a flight on the 10th?

On day 10 you depart from Essaouira in the morning towards Casablanca (approx. 4-5 hours of travel, with stops). We recommend:

Flights after 16:00 to travel at a comfortable pace.
If your flight is very early, we can suggest spending the last night in Casablanca (not included, but we can help you book it).
